In the middle of the 19th century Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye gathered the special lineage on the Hevajra Teachings. For centuries such teachings were also transmitted in the Sakya lineages. In mid 1990´s His Holiness gathered the aspiration to revitalize the Kagyu teachings of Marpa on Hevajra and Nairatmya. Again and again for over 5 years, His Holiness requested Kenchen Appey Rinpoche for the teachings on the Hevajra Tantra. These were given in 2001 in Kathmandu. Later in 2004 or 2005 His Holiness transferred these teachings to around 40 prominent Drikung Kagyu lamas, drupöns, khenpos and rinpoches. It is very precious, that His Holiness now in 2020 will again transfer these precious teachings as a gift to this world for the new millennium.

[Special notice: the dates and programme for the Mar-Ngok Hevajra event in 2020 have been changed several times.]

[The final program: teachings on the Hevajra Root Tantra, based on commentaries by Marpa and His Holiness. There will be given Hevajra Empowerment on the first day.]

Awareness

This website is focused on a very narrow field of specific practices among the vast richness of the Vajrayana and Buddhist Tantra. Totally aware of that, and aware that all what is mentioned here on this website is indebted to and rests on the FOUNDATION of the DHARMA from LORD BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI, the holy one from the Shakya-klan. Everything on this website rests on the Buddha Dharma in its whole, with the three Yanas: Hinayana/Theravadin, Mahayana and Vajrayana. Also we are aware of the manifolded Dharma-activity in all the various traditions of the Buddha-Dharma, situated and having its on-set in different traditions, different practises within the Buddhist richness, and having a modern or a traditionalist approach.
